Backs Against the Wall

One day we will find the back of the net.  With so many lost opportunities and with dominating play on the pitch, the lack of goals has put our boys with their backs against the wall.  Controlling the action at least with a 60-40 split, the inability to beat the keeper is incredibly frustrating.  Hawthorne made the most of their shots count with 2 out of 4, while Culver had a minimum of a half dozen shots on goal with zero success.

The boys are playing well and with heart, but with each mounting loss it becomes disheartening.  Facing the real possibility that playoff hopes are slipping away, the boys in blue must find the win column next week against Inglewood and Morningside.  It is their time of reckoning and we need your support next week to come and cheer the lads on.  We can do it!

As if to keep varsity company, JV suffered a similar 1-nil loss as well.  We predict that better times must lie ahead for all levels.  Let’s cheer their efforts with home games on Wednesday and Friday.  City Soccer needs to see you there in full force!

Go Big Blue!  Go City Soccer!
